Deep Elm Records believes in the power of music to inspire and console. We all need what music gives us. Think about the records you love so dearly, your favorite records...the songs that make you smile and the ones that make you cry. Now imagine they never existed. There needs to be a label that continues to believe in music, even when the music industry is in decline and facing its most difficult challenges. That label is Deep Elm and we will continue to release the finest indie recordings available today. Deep Elm remains strong, true and committed to both its bands and fans worldwide. We are signing bands

General Submissions:

We are interested in receiving finished recordings (not demos) that are available for worldwide release.

Compilation Submissions:

Submission is Now Open for The Emo Diaries, Chapter 13 as well as This Is Indie Rock, Volume 4. Each volume will contain 12 unreleased songs. All decisions made are based upon the song, not the band. It's the music that matters. Only previously unreleased songs are eligible. "Unreleased" means the song is currently not available and / or for sale to the public on any medium or format (CD, mp3, streams, myspace or other downloads, sampler, etc.) from you, a label or anyone else. There is no set deadline. Submission remains open until we have found 12 songs that we love. Deep Elm receives well over 1,000 song submissions for each compilation. Selected bands will be informed about all details including promotion, publicity, marketing, distribution, royalties, etc. And hell no, there is no fee to submit and no cost to participate...you get paid! If anyone ever pulls those scams on you, tell them to suck it.

So Now What?

Please be patient and have faith in our process. Every band on our active roster has been signed through this process. It works. If we are interested in your music, we will connect with you. Please do not call, e-mail or contact us about a submission. Due to the high number of unsolicited submissions we receive, we do not comment on music that we pass on. This doesn't mean your music isn't good, it's just not a perfect fit for Deep Elm.
